Create Moulding List

Estlite can handle several moulding lists. Ideally, a separate list for each supplier out of which you can select the mouldings which you stock.

You can choose to run the program using only your stocked mouldings, or if you use chop, using all moulding tables. See Options - Mouldings - Moulding Tables Used

A Moulding List is contained in a CSV file, a common file type, recognised by many Windows applications, and are very easy to build.

If a list is not available from your supplier, you can build it yourself using the following method.

Creating a CSV file:
Open a new file in either Notepad or Excel
Enter the mouldings necessary
o Within Notepad this is involves entering the Name, Price, Description, Width, Status, and Quantity divided by commas.
§  For example 001,430,100
o Within Excel  the figures will be put into three columns - Name, Price, Description, Width, Status, and Quantity
When entering a chop moulding, leave the quantity blank.

The list of prices may have either integer (247) or decimal (2.47) values, but must NOT have  a currency (£) symbol.
Also, avoid the use of
+ (Plus sign) - instead use &
, (comma) instead use /
" (Double quote - to represent inches) instead use in.

Save the mouldings entered by clicking Save As and giving the file an appropriate name in the "File Name" window.  Try to keep this short for example if you want to create a file for only Larson Juhl mouldings the name could be LJ.CSV, otherwise name your file MY.CSV.  When saving in Excel make sure you select CSV (MS-DOS) from Save As Type: drop-down list in the Save As dialog box, and there is no need to use the .CSV extension.

Save this to your desktop by clicking on the drop down arrow beside the Save In box and choosing Desktop.  This will create a new icon on your Desktop.

To enter this new file to your Moulding Table, close down Excel/Notepad, click on your new icon, holding down the mouse button drag the file over the EstLite window and let go of the mouse button.  A box will appear asking if you want to "Add The CSV File" click yes.

Your new list will now be included in the Moulding Table.
